Unknown stays unknown
Unverified tow packages, axle ratios, GCWR values and receiver limits are not filled from a neighbouring trim just to produce a complete-looking answer.
Vehicle labels matter
Door-jamb carrying capacity and actual loaded weights are treated as vehicle-specific inputs rather than replaced by a brochure payload headline.
Configuration over marketing
The calculator uses the selected source-backed configuration instead of assuming every vehicle receives the model's advertised maximum.

Corrections are part of the product
Source documents change and mistakes can happen. TowGauge keeps verification dates and a correction policy so data can be challenged and re-verified without silently rewriting history.
